You need to have Acrobat Professionals Ver. 8 or higher to do so. In case you have one already installed that automatically appears in your printers list, open your publisher file, drag your mouse to "File Menu" then click "Print". A Print dialogue box will prompt and will let you choose a "Printer name". Look for the "Adobe PDF" printer. Now click on "Properties", on the "Default Settings" choose "High Quality Print" or "PDF/X-1a:2001" then click "OK". Now you're ready to have a PDF copy, left click on "Save" button and done. How do I delete the File Setup Template in Photoshop? John Richard A. - Mar 20, 2009
When using a template, make sure you remove it before you create a PDF of your file. Otherwise the template will appear on the final printed piece. When you download a template for use in Photoshop, it will be automatically added as a separate layer. View the layers palette by going to the "Windows" tab and selecting the "Layers" tab. To remove a layer, click on the layer that contains the template and drag it to the trash bin located at the bottom of the palette. When placing a PDF into a Photoshop file, the layer may come up as "Background" and be locked; double click on the layer and it will change to "Layer 0" at which time you can delete it. This needs to be done at the very beginning. Choose File > New and on the window that pops up, make sure that under Resolution shows "300" and that the units are set to pixels/inch. Please note that you cannot use this procedure to increase the total number of pixels in an existing file. If you try to increase the resolution of an existing file, you must decrease the size so that the total width and height in pixels does not change. Answered by UPrinting.com Prepress Team
